Picked up a nail or screw? Most tread punctures can be repaired safely for a fraction of the cost of a new tyre. We remove the tyre and repair it properly from the inside — not with a quick plug from the outside.
A puncture in the main tread area, up to about 6 mm across, can usually be repaired. Damage in the sidewall or shoulder, large cuts, or a tyre that’s been driven flat can’t be repaired safely.
We remove the tyre from the rim and inspect the inside for hidden damage before fitting a combination patch-plug, then rebalance the wheel. If the tyre isn’t safe to repair, we’ll tell you and quote a replacement.
